(52) Christmas Cactus 6 x 8, oil I used the same limited palette as yesterday and again focused on looser strokes. "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams"...Eleanor Roosevelt
The limited palette seems to be working for you Faye. Good variety of edges in this one to. You seem to be putting the paint on and leaving it alone a little more.
Faye, I really like the breakup of space, the range of value and that wonderul red in the Christmas cactus. I was interested in your comment about the artist's date. "The artist's way" helped to get me unstuck and on the path of creativity. Some of my favorite dates are blowing bubbles (I still believe fairies live in them) watching horses, and sitting in the bush trying to talk to ravens. Paula
