Everywhere I turn, it seems flowers are whispering my name. Their fragrance draws me near, and I could swear they are actually leaning toward me as I walk by. Must be the universe telling me it is time to shift gears and choose new "models". I have always wanted to paint this unusual vase that I found at a flea market years ago. Add to that Kevin Macpherson's muted palette (primaries plus greys) along with some gorgeous organic roses, and well, you don't have to twist my arm too much...

And how about a slice of wisdom to make it the perfect summer pairing...
"We do not grow absolutely, chronologically.
We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly.
We grow partially. We are relative.
We are mature in one realm, childish in another;
the past, present, and future mingle
and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present.
We are made up of layers, cells, constellations."

Beautiful as is all of your work. I, too, like the 8x16 format... It's a bit different and makes for an interesting composition.
