summer break

8 x 10, oil on canvas
My focus in this painting was to capture all those wonderful colors in the shadows and still keep light and shadow families separate and distinct--a super duper fun challenge with all the light reflecting up from the water and white ground plane.

Did you paint this wonderful portrait of one of yours???

It totally captured the teenage posture, feeling, etc!! Well done...
Love the quote too.

A very wonderful piece, Faye. I love the way you handled the core shadows and the background.
