and just like that, her beloved imac bit the dust...
her desk is now a sad, and oh so empty space
awaiting repair or replacement (shudder)...
more snow on the way...
sounds like a wonderful "opportunity" for a technology cleanse...
"eek" she says, eye twitching
or perhaps a mental "re-boot" with hot chocolate by the fire and a good book (or ten)...
wishing you warmth and comfort wherever you are
surrounded by everyone (and everything) you hold dear

I'm in the same sad boat. I had a PC loaded with all of my favorite programs set up in my favorite way...
Because my husband is in the peripheral business... we have lots of other PCs but now I have to retrieve all of my files from the DEAD computer and figure out what I did with the program disks ... if they will even WORK on whatever new operating system I have on whatever computer I'll have...
What a pain in the tushy, isn't it???
I gotta say, though... you are SOOOOOOO creative with your photos and words and everything... Glad I at least have internet access so I don't miss your posts.
Good luck getting it all set up again.
What a painful blog post ... very sad, a real tear jerker, as they say. Car problems and computer problems are my worst nightmare. I just assumed an imac would go on forever..... no problems.
So far, I do not look back with regret at switching from a pc ..... I'm now a mac girl. ;-) Hope your problems are soon resolved.
Lovely quote Faye. More Snow? (snicker)

Faye - I love your blog! I have awarded the Sunshine Award to you. Please visit my blog to accept.
I know it sounds crazy, given all that could befall us on any given day, but computer crashes are heart stopping and angst causing. Ouch!
