Tea Rose
Pink Tea Rose 8 x 10, oil “It is the month of June, The month of leaves and roses, When pleasant sights salute the eyes, And pleasant scents the noses"...Nathaniel Parker Willis
Faye- this is so delicately beautiful. You can hear the " ping " of that fine porcelain cup. Love the way you got all those pearlescent whites to do what reflected lights do on white.
What a beautiful painting! I love those ornate tea cups and your rose is the perfect accompaniment. The delicate gold rim is perfect. You did a great job on highlights and reflections. That touch of rose color in the cup and rim really makes this special!
Congrats on being featured on Tony Moffitt's blog today!
excellent feel of textures faye that really feels like porcelain... fascinating to watch your birds, not many things are better than enjoying birds, you should paint them!
I think the first image I ever saw of yours was a tea cup... My memory may be failing but I remember something lovely .... just like this... The cup is absolutely superb!! Great reflections and shine... And set against that rose... just wonderful.
