Back-lighting this little vase of flowers allowed me to study the translucence of the petals.

Wow. They are almost see through ... you captured the backlighting perfectly. Great painting.
Another lovely painting. I love the title, too.

The way you captured the light here reinforces the delicacy of the petals. I like: "Every flower has a cordial word which nature directs towards him." The glass vase reflects the light so well.
Gorgeous. Wow. Love the water.
WOW! The feeling of light in this one is perfect- beautifully done!
Breathtakingly (is that a word?) beautiful.
Another where you've captured the beauty of the light shining through the petals... Wonderful... shall we begin to call you Manet II???
So hard to paint! You did a great job.
Faye, this is stunning. I love the glow in the back-lit petals. LOVE it.
The back-lighting gives them such wonderful transparency. Love the peachy shades in the shadows and that wonderful soft green in the leaf. Great Job!
Very beautiful, Faye. The backlighting really makes it a stunning piece.
